Curriculum:
I've always a been a math and science type of guy. Going into life, I plan on being an engineer, so English classes haven't held as much personal importance as the math and science courses. Despite this, I do love this class. I love the slam poems, and other presentations we have to make, because it encourages us to think for ourselves. The debates hold a similar atmosphere. In many classes, one can get by just doing the work, and writing down what you're told to write down. This class really encourages us to think for ourselves, that our opinions mean a significant amount. I'm sure that this thought process will help me in college and in life as a leader.
I only have a quarter left in senior year. This has to be one of my fastest years yet. Like, I swear I was just being introduced to my Senior Year AP classes a week ago. Now, it's almost April and I have not even two months left in the curriculum. While I do have some regrets, I am so glad with how my high school career has developed over the past four years. Without those past experiences I wouldn't be who I am today, so I have no regrets.

Waiting for Godot and Nihilism, Exestentialism, and absurdity
Waiting for Godot exhibits many examples of existentialism, Nihilism, and absuirdity.
Nihilism is the belief that nothing really exists. All values are baseless and nothing can truly be known. A nihilist believes in nothing, has no loyalties and no purpose, other than the impulse to destroy what we do know. There are several examples of nihilism in Waiting for Godot. One example is the meaningless of each day. With the lack of memory, none of the characters can recall the events of yesterday. Thus, Vladamir and Estragon live out the same day, over and over, without even realizing it. They are always promised that Godot will come the next day, they always run into Pozzo and Lucky, and they always debate hanging themselves at the end of each day. To an extent, the previous days don't even mean anything to them.
Existentialism is the Philosophical theory or approach that emphasizes the existence of the individual person as a free and responsible agent determining their own development through acts of will. To an extent, this is the opposite of Nihilism. While Nihilists emphasize nothingness, Existentialists emphasize the ability to determine their own will. Existentialism applies to Waiting for Godot as each character has their own will, with their own intentions. Vladamir and Estragon love each other despite their conflict, so they aim to stay together and wait for Godot. Pozzo travels around with Lucky, who is binded to Pozzo.
Godot also emphasizes Absurdity. In an absurd atmosphere, man loses all control, logic breaks down, as man becomes a puppet to the world around them with eventually leads to silence. In Waiting for Godot, all reason is destroyed my the lack of memory of any of the characters. As the characters can't recall what happened the day before, Vladamir, Estragon, Pozzo and Lucky are bound to repeat the same events and thought processes day after day. All reason is replaced with thoughts and conversations of little merit and intellect. Eventually, there will just be silence.

Just another blog post
"The best literature mirrors societal concerns and applies directly to aspects of our personal lives"
Waiting for Godot provides an excellent example regarding this explication.
Societal concerns of Waiting for Godot:
- The belief of faith over reason. Both characters in this play wait for a character who hasn't even promised to show up himself. They blindly wait for someone without question. They just believe that he is going to show up.
- Perhaps we make too much of an effort to busy ourselves. You can see that, in this play, these characters are happy just being with each other, waiting for Godot. However, many more people in real life are too busy and don't appreciate what they already have.

The Human Condition
The Human Condition
By definition, condition means "The state of something in regarding to its quality, appearance, or working order". The human condition, by inference, means "The state of humanity regarding humanity's quality, appearance, and working order". By looking at these three elements, one can make an inference of the summary of Human Condition.
Human quality. I'll say that the human quality is based on the overall health of humanity. Physically, over 80% of the world's resources goes to 20% of the people. These people are doing fantastic, especially on the disease front. With biotechnology becoming the newest, most in-demand field, we're becoming better as of health. With these advances, we can hel out the other 80% of humanity. Overall, we're doing fantastic.
Human appearance. Our problem is hat we let those who perform wrong actions represent us. However, for every Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus, there are hundreds of thousands of people working toward the betterment of society. We look like we're all working for ourselves, but so many of us are working for the betterment of others.
